Our Mission

Invest for the risk environment.

The Mission-Auour Risk-Managed Global Equity Fund is guided by one overriding goal: To help our clients participate in rising markets, while seeking to protect their wealth during down markets. To carry out this mission, we focus on three factors that are within an investor’s control—market participation, asset allocation, and expense reduction.

We believe it is especially critical to prepare for the downside, since, historically speaking, a participant in the equity market can expect a greater than 10% loss over a six-month timespan approximately 10% of the time*. That’s a sobering statistic, and it’s why our downside protection strategies are designed to provide assistance with mitigating large losses, facilitating a faster recovery, and seeking the preservation of our clients’ future purchasing power.

Our Fund

Designed with innovation in mind.

The Mission-Auour Risk-Managed Global Equity Fund is managed by three world-class fund managers who each have more than 20 years of experience, yet still take the stance of disruptors who bring creative approaches to investment management. These managers have worked together with a unified strategy since 2013 for Auour Investments—investing primarily in large, broad exposure Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) with the goal of achieving long-term capital appreciation through exposure to global equity markets.

Investment Managers: The Mission Model

At Mission Funds, we use an investment management model that seeks to capitalize on the shared experience and cohesion of investment teams that have collaborated together for years, but are also willing to use innovative strategies and analyses in pursuit of desired returns.

For example, Mission Funds serves as the investment advisor to Mission-Auour Risk-Managed Global Equity Fund. However, to put the knowledge of a seasoned, pre-existing team to work for our investors, we designated the team from Auour Investments as our sub-advisors for the Fund.

It is the sub-advisors who are responsible for the day-to-day management of the Fund’s investments, and who make the team-based decisions that guide the way forward. They’re the managers who “make it happen,” and serve as a model for the sub-advisory foundation on which Mission Funds does business.
